Being Mazda dealers serving North Naples, FL and nearby areas, we have some great news to share with you – the 2018 Mazda6 will be eligible for factory-installed upgrades beginning in September 2018. To be more precise, the following trims will be eligible for these upgrades: Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature.

What are the upgrades we’re so excited about? The free installation of Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. If you own one of the 2018 Mazda6 trims mentioned above and you get Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ installed, your sedan will also gain a more powerful USB port that charges devices faster. Your vehicle will get the latest version of the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system as well.

We’re thrilled to tell you that the 2018 Mazda6 is the first Mazda car in North America to have Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility through installations at Mazda dealerships like ours. If you own an eligible 2018 Mazda6 trim, you can make an appointment to have Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ installed in our Fort Myers, FL Mazda service center as early as next month. The Mazda brand predicts the hardware and software updates will take about two hours to complete.

Beginning in November of this year, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ will be original equipment on the 2018 Mazda6 on the Touring and higher trims. While that’s great news, you can still enjoy these sought-after features by having them installed in our Mazda service center next month or thereafter. There is no fee to have these upgrades performed at our Mazda dealership.
